In August 2026  AMVETS Post 115  decided to create and share their own Challenge Coin.  They are carried by members and/or given to people as appropriate.

The Siller Family started the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the memory and carry on the legacy of their brother .

In 2013, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation launched its 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit; a tribute to all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, including, of course, the 343 members of the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice. The high-tech, 83-foot tractor-trailer, which transforms into a 1,100-square-foot exhibit, is a tool to further educate citizens throughout the country about the events of that tragic day.

  America's birthday is celebrated annually on July 4th, but...

•  July 2, 1776: This is the day the Continental Congress actually voted in favor of Richard Henry Lee's resolution of independence, severing ties with Great Britain. John Adams famously believed this would be the date Americans would celebrate with "pomp and parade" for generations to come. 

•  July 4, 1776: Congress formally adopted the final wording of the Declaration of Independence

on this day. Because this was the date printed on the widespread physical copies distributed to the public, it became the date etched into national memory.

•  August 2, 1776: Most delegates did not sign the famous parchment document until this date, nearly a month after independence was originally declared.

The wood deck has been replaced with a concrete slab with grooved ramp and metal railings.
